Install Process
Cost:
The total cost for installing the Wunda Rapid Response® system in a 6x6m room was £1618, making it an affordable and highly effective heating solution for the space.
Process:
The installation began with the application of Wunda’s Rapid Response® overfloor boards, which were laid over the existing floorboards and screed. The process included the following steps:
-
Perimeter Edge Strip: The perimeter edge strip was first installed around the edges of the room to ensure proper heat distribution and floor expansion.
-
Cut and Dry Lay Overfloor Boards: The overfloor boards were then cut to size and dry laid according to the layout plan provided by Wunda. This step helped ensure the boards fit perfectly before securing them in place.
-
Floor Preparation: The floor was thoroughly vacuumed to remove any debris or dust, ensuring a clean and smooth surface for the boards to adhere to.
-
Fixing the Overfloor Boards: Once the boards were dry laid and the layout confirmed, they were fixed into place using Wunda’s adhesive spray, ensuring a secure and stable installation.
-
Pipe Installation: The heating pipe was installed according to the pre-determined layout plan, ensuring even heat distribution throughout the room.

The installation process was straightforward and easy to follow. Homeowners with basic DIY skills can successfully complete the installation by following the clear, step-by-step instructions provided.
